They say it uses a "Triton", Single Cam, 3 Valve 5.4L V8. Is that what we call our Boss motor?

Also curb weight at 9100 lbs. ie just over 4 tonne. A bit heavy. Or is that a typo and that is how much it can tow?

An extra 130 cubic feet of cargo space. Are you taking the whole house in the car?

"Triton" is what the modular engines have been called in pickups/SUVs over here since their introduction way back in 97. The actual name "Trition" has something to do with a cooling system failsafe, where if the engine coolant runs dry, the engine will continue running, then run with reduced power and shut off the A/C, then stop some cylinders from firing to act as air pumps, and finally shut the engine down to prevent permanent damage.

From what I have read, the 3 valve engines, regardless of moniker on them were tested in Oz first, then made it to production. The current model F150 has a 3 valver, as does the Mustangs. I'd be willing to lay money that the electronic throttle system on the new mustangs was first used on the BA's.

I would have to say that its not 4 tonnes, no way it would weigh that much. But its not a bad looking SUV will we see them in Australia? replace the explorer

I believe you are mistaking it for an Excursion... which is based on the F250/350. They no longer make Excursion's and alot of speculation is on a new longer based Expedition which will replace the older Excursion.

Expedition is F150 based, and about the same size as the Landcruiser 100 (but better on road) - 9100lbs might be the towing capacity. - Vehicle weight would be around 2.5 tonnes. the Boss motor is the same engine, just with the Lincoln Navigator heads (4 valve)

In America, Ford SUV's go, Explorer, Excursion, Expedition. Sizewise. Then you have the Lincoln versions. Lincoln Blackwood is awesome !!!
