Default Members of AFF present Craig Lowndes with Trophy

Well Guys we have gone ahead with a plan to present Craig Lowndes with a trophy for his efforts in 2006. We have purchased the trophy and its on it way with presentation expected in mid January. The Plaque will read CRAIG LOWNDES 2006 V8 Peoples Champion, Presented by members of Australian Ford Forums. Apparently despite Craigs brave face he is not real happy about the fact that V8 supercars have basically said that its alright if you spin someone out to win a title and thats racing. Well they might be alright with it but 75% of the public arn't. Anyway if you go to the Pits you will see the Threads about the topic and how we went about choosing the minor details, its a good read.

Regards Shane

Awesome idea.

Sending this info with a pic to V8X would help!

Getting some sort of publicity would be good just to remind Rick Kelly how undeserving he is of being the series leader at the end of the year (can't call him the champion). : :MrT_anim:

Just had a squiz....love the idea, I think CL will be truly chuffed by it and it may help him mentally prepare for 2007 (Not that I think he needs any help - he is a proffesional racer through and through)

Have we confirmed that this can actually be presented to CL via 888?

From this years results surely the V8 supercar official's should restructure the merits of each race to make sure top 3 finishes are clear ahead of any other drivers to avoid some dropkick like Kelly doing consistent mid placings to keep up with the driver's championship?

Where and when will this be done?
I'm skint (behind in the rent) or I would have contributed. If I can get to the presentation I will and can lend some moral support.
