Default Best way to get a car from QLD to Vic?

Just a quick question, for those in the know. Living in Victoria, I've spotted a car that's got me stuttering my words and almost dribbling on myself. Problem being, it's in Queensland. But I want it. (humourous side note: WhereIs.com tells me it's 14 minutes from the town of Bald Knob :newangel: )

My question is this: What would be the most cost effective way of bringing this car, were I to purchase it, all this way down south?

Is there a mob that frequents this trip with a car carrier or such? Name? Number?

Thanks everyone!

sometimes you can get backloading rates if someone is coming back empty, might be worth a few phone calls

Take some holidays, buy a one-way ticket on a flight to QLD, pick up the car and drive it back. What better way to get to know your new car?

A friend of mine just moved from QLD down here to Melbourne and they've pretty much transported everything they had down here (from washing machines down to their magna) so I'll have a ask and report back.

Any excuse eh Wozza..... you are sure determined not come to sunny QLD :

Ring the ones that transport for car yards.. they sometimes have room.

I've been referred to Speedy Car Carriers. Has anybody else dealt with this mob at all?

All major car carriers return from QLD empty (or almost empty) as they dont make cars up there so any one of them would do it cheap.
