Default The EB XR8 cobra project

im currently working on a cobra project kit car, here are some pic
Stats, EB XR8 stock auto box, jag front and rear suspention and diff
custom chassy, nissan RB30 fuel tank, did i mention the EB XR8 engine,

so far the inlet manifold has been shaved down 15mm and throttle body rotated 90 deg, engine mounts lowerd, the bottom layer cut for room, and it still hits the top skin of the bonnet..

still to come custom headders with cat converter, and "WORKING SIDE PIPES"

Good stuff. I couldn't convince you to start a project thread by any chance so we can see it come together. A cobra kit is on the cards for me in the next few years and I'm keen to see what exactly is involved. Did you buy rolling chassis or weld it up yourself?

Awesome. Love the old school design of the Cobra, and combined with e-series power, what more would you want?

that looks like its gonna be pretty cool......is the chassis a modded toyota crown one or full custom chassis?
what suspension is it running? jag??

also, any plans to mod th engine? they're only 165kw but i supose it really depends on the weight of the car (i'd be tipping under 1000kg's) so it wouldnt be as much of a slug as a falcon...

good luck with it....cobras are cool

Funny looking EB XR8 ;)
I thought it was going to be the EB V8 Cobra they built for Edsel Ford II (Henry Ford's grandson I think) when he came over to Australia....
