I'm pretty sure that they bolt up the same as series 1's, you souldn't have to change guards or anything.

No changes required. Just a straight bolt up. Theres a few guys on here with S1 XR's who have opted for the XR50 Bar

Don't do it! A AU1 XR with full Tickford kit including the twin bi-plane spoiler looks so much better than AU2/3 XR with kit. The AU3 Rebel kit is the second best looking IMO. Either way.. it's an AU, so can't go wrong.

I agree. I know many prefer the later AUs, but my black AU1 with full tickford looks better imo, especially from the front. It sits low and looks tough, even without lowering the ride height.

Incidently, I'm seriously considering removing the bi-plane.

Don't remove the twin spoiler. It makes the kit and is the icing on the tasty cake that it already is.

Below is a pic of my old AU1 XR8. Damn it still looks hot IMO.

I agree too!! the AU1 XR front have the same curved lines as the base "style" of the AU itself. It matches the bodyshape seemlessly. The AU2/3's were somewhat of an after-thought .. an attempt to square-up the front-end design. Very few "updates" look better than the original. The original is typically the one the designers envisage as a "whole" .. upgrades are usually driven by marketing people.

My two cents ..

Rod.

i find the series 1 bar drops away to much is to round and pointy. that's why i went series 2 . but the series 1 tickford kit does look hot on black au's.

Go to S2/3 body kit. Its far better looking than a S1.

Yeh, you liked the series 2 kit so much you swapped it all for the XR50/TS50 kit.

I know have fullTickford series 1 kit on my car with the bobtail, and IMO, it looks hot! Will get some pics up tomorrow.
