AFAIK, No, it doesn't,
but the TS50 does... which is pretty much an XR8 with a fairmont interior (except carbon fibre instead of woodgrain), and a few other upgraded go fast bits....

Nope funny isn't it. Climate control was only on AUI Fairmont Ghia, AUII/III fairmonts and Ghia's, TL50's, SI TE50. and thats it I think.

You would recon that the XR series would have it, seems pretty stupid of Ford to me, top quality sports pack etc. I never had a car with it before so it's no drama.

Well its only been in the latest model that the XR8 has been transformed into a real grand tourer. Back in the old e-series and to a lesser extent the Au, the XR series were more of a sports machine and seemed more like a sported up Gli or Forte with the different front end treatment of course.
