Default Au 99 XR8 on Ebay

I don't normally post links to ebay on here (not as a thread anyway), but this looks immaculate, and I know there are afew people looking for XRs right now. If I had $15k, it would be mine!!!

T2 TE50

That XR8 was on last week, and didn't sell for ~$13-14k, if i remember correctly. So his reserve must be around the $15-16k mark.

i had a offer of 13k for my 99' xr8, guy wanted rwc everything for 13, so im keeping my baby now. They are a fantastic car, best car ive owned, and so tempting so sell the corty to stick a intercooled blower on it.

Its a good price, but its an AU1 XR8, and I just can't get past the Series 1 Front and the Centrepod. It's what turns me off the S1. Still, its a nice car and a great price.

They can't give XR8's away atm, great time to be buying.

Not long ago I bought a 2002 XR8 manual, blueprint, leather, 50k's and not a mark on it for 20 and that was through a Ford dealer.
I think they were close to 50 thousand when new, a bit scary if you are selling.

Massive depreciation! Always good buying a car if you've got cash!

Huge depreciation, probably gave the previous owner 16 or 17 for it as a trade on a new GT.
Amazing what dealers will do if you wave a bit of cash at them, they had 25 on it, offered 18 and settled at 20, too good to pass up.
Originally went in for a BA xr6 and saw the AU, why would you bother with a boring 6 when you can drive one of these badboys.

Must say those gold rims on the AU 1 that JC posted look very good, suit that vehicle.

Too right , my baby originally had a price tag of $19,990 on it at the dealers , but after waving $10,000 cash in their face it was mine for $10,000 at the end of the day .

Times nearly up and not one bid for $15,000 AU XR8. A bit expensive @ $15,000 for a '99 110000 kms.

Agree, I would have thought 12 max, nice looking example of a Series 1 though.

I have an identical AU1 but with the Tickford 17"s and was going to sell it instead of my ute, but for what they are getting it would be too hard to give up. Not sure if I got ripped when I bought mine in 2004, but I paid $21k through a good friend who is a car salesman. You all seemed to get good deals for yours...even though I thought $21k was a good deal at the time.

Is $15k really too expensive, despite it being a V8?
