Default Why is E-series grouped not sequential injection?

Just having a look at the specs of the EL Falcon and it would appear that it uses grouped injection rather than sequential... is there any reason why this is the case and would this partially explain why the E-series multipoint injected Falcons weren't so good on fuel?

I was also going over our Magna and noticed that it is actually sequential... so any real reason why Ford didn't go with sequential on the Falcon?

The fuel savings arnt as big as u would think from sequential... And because ford are a bunch of tight **** terries would explain a fair bit

What he said. Not much benefit, and would have cost $ to implement. What you do get with sequential EFI is better emmisions which is probably why the AU's got sequential, but they had a whole lot of ECU related changes all at once.

AU are only sequential to about 3,000rpm then they go to banked just like the e-series, the BA is the first true 100% sequential.

5.0 is an american motor. ford aus just imported them. their efi isnt anything like a 4.0

Banked injection all injectors fire at the same time no matter what position the inlet valve is in
Sequential injection each injector fire individually and at the correct time based on inlet valve opening
