i'm with young and cool,
AU xr6 mock up falcon
lowered
17" rims
exhaust mods, etc

rating 4, $1477

It was the cheapest i could find that would take a car that was modded like mine

just cars was $1950 or something
so its worth giving young and cool a call

the NRMA wont even let you change the exaughst!
and forget about lowering it or fitting rims bigger than 7in

BUT if anything happens you can always say i thaought they were stock!!

i had a MX83 cressida that was lowered and had a set of 71/2 in simmons on it and had a crash and they didnt say s#it it even had a 2 1/2 in exaughst on it and they still payed out.

i also had a ED that was lowered with AU G220 rims(17x8s) WITH hub adapters that was involved in a stack(not my fault) and they replaced one of the rims.

Just Car insurance, costs me around $900 per year afaik for full comprehensive, with all mods in my signature listed on the policy... I think it's for $6k at last check. Wheels however, are not included (in that they know they're there, but wont cover them).

RACV cost me about 500 for the year, full comp, rating one for life as well, cant get better then that, and asked them about mods two is cool, so car is already factory lowered and then exhaust, so no worries for me

I'm third party with RACV. My stereo is basically the only real mod my car has, so I don't have any problems, but if I got the money to mod my car, I'd probably change insurance companies.

im with A.A.M.I.
if you are over 25 they are great
the only reason i went with them is i asked them a heap of questions about mods to cars and i spoke to 3 diffrent ppl over the 2 week period and they ALL told me that
you can do any mod you like so long as it will pass a road worthy

i have a EL it was a taxi for the first 4 mths of its life (13,000km) and its now at 99,000km and with all my mods they have given me value of $11,500 and rating 1 for life at $33.16 a month payments and $400 excess . the down side is my missers is under 25 so is not allowed to drive it .

I'm with CGU, and it costs me $512 a year - at 19, on my P's, with 3 speeding fines against my name.

God bless telling the insurance companies *nothing*! they only think they know is its Ford Falcon 6cyl, spec level unknown, year unknown, displacement unknown...

I'm with Shannons due to the mod's. I swear my car is stock!! :S

Anyway they sting me $1400 per year, I'm not complaining, it's better than no insurance at all!

Pully6 -> What don't they know? I hope it doesn't void your insurance otherwise you might as well have no insurance!!

They know stuff all about my car. Dad's a crash repairer anyways... and for 3 years running I haven't had to use his services. Once I get out of uni and off my p's I'll insure my car properly.
