My old battery final packed it in, ive got a new one sitting here just want to know off anyone is there anything that needs to be done when I do change over Re. Radio and ECU
|

ECU takes a few minutes at least to reset after you disconnect the battery, so if you're quick you won't have to do the ECU learning procedure.
I can't remember if the radio code resets as soon as you disconnect the battery. It's quick to do though, so just make sure you actually have the code handy!

Well itll be dead, it was flat as a tack last night when i went start it and only just put the new one in it, radio code I have no probs there

Be careful of the base idle upon reset if yours is anything like mine it can be extremely stubborn. (Mine eventually needed to be hooked up to Ford)

I did mine recently and had it disconnected probably for around 4-5mins in total.
All I had was my head unit reset (no biggie as expected), and when I switched the ignition on it just said 'base'. I then started her up and she was all good.

if you dont have the radio code and dont want the ecu to forget everything judt go down to supercheap or any of those places and buy a memory minder there only around 3 dollars with a 'battery included!!'
