Thumbs up Latest Holden TV Ad

I have seen the ad a few times and thought " why cannt Ford have an ad like that" gets to the point. In Ford's "Future" ad no mention of the Falcon..It seems like Ford have given up on the Falcon..Future is Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Kuga, Ranger and Everest...see how that goes...

I noticed it too, the new Ford ad doesn't feature the Falcon at all, we probably wont see anymore TV advertising with the Falcon. Sad, but the way it is for Falcon in Australia.

The reason why Holden advertise the commodore is the name will continue, but being built outside of Aus.

The Falcon name is ending, why spend money on advertising a dead product or a product that very minimal amount of people were buying.

If you noticed the Mustang is front and center of the Ford ad as this is the latest product.

Well, yes they *have* given up on the Falcon, I thought that was pretty clear when they made the closure announcement...Holden have another year to sell Commodores than Ford does with the Falcon. It's just a shame that the rest of Ford's marketing "effort" for their products to carry the can forward is so outrageously crap.

No no spend millions selling a car that is almost done and they don't have any stock to sell.

But jeez I'd have to say that I'd test drive a Redline or HSV just LISTENING to their new ads. The other fluffy ad does nothing for me.

I'm still inclined to download the highest res version of that old BA ad on the winding roads and watch that til the day i cease and desist this world.

I can't wait for that FWD abomination.

IMO Ford not advertising the Falcon has been the right thing to do.

Holden never learn. They are the masters of spending money for nothing. Why there is even a VFII is beyond me.

Why not? They're running until 2017, still selling approx. 2000 cars a month give or take. They have updated tech and engines. So we're to criticise a company for giving more to the consumer?

Because Holden actually have a marketing team and spend money on marketing. Amazing what an actual professional marketing team can do, if you actually have one. All that Ford can muster now is photograph a middle-aged bloke raising his hands in dismay at the edge of a cliff, daring himself to "Go Further", or some thing like that...

Anyone would think they were in the business of selling cars...

When I ordered a Hilux I was fed up waiting after 4 months and no firm delivery date so I got my deposit back and bought something else.
Supply is not solely a Ford issue.

Funny how Holden's marketing team only is able to constantly sell Commodore at good numbers. I wonder how it will go when Commo goes FWD.

My nine year old little man asked exactly the same question when he saw the Commodore Ad, why don't Ford advertise the Falcon, I showed him this

Yes I see the two listed on Carsales both have cloth trim

Kind of strange the XR6T sedan seems to have lux pack by default and the ute does not??

Yeah im not 100% going to pounce but a change in lifestyle will warrant a ute. There isnt even any good FG2 utes around hence why i went to look at new. Id prefer white but have second preferences.

Ive found a cpl of ex demo utes but yeah not sold on them and they arent the colours i want.
