What this proves is that Ford dropped the bat and Holden kept on hitting...Lets hope FGX hits a home run or two....

Curious that the Mazda 3 2lt is out selling the Mitsubishi Lancer by so much.
We have driven both in the last 2 weeks & the Lancer GSR hatch 2.4lt drives much quieter even though it has larger wheels (18's to 16's) & much lower profile.
Lancer has a much better auto (& paddles not needed tho)
GSR is about $2.5k cheaper
We are going to buy the GSR

Lancer is the oldest design in the class - hence the discount . CVT much better than torque converter 6 speed auto ? Not many would agree . People go for the newest design - Lancer is a bargain if you don't mind it's drawbacks - inoisy , seat comfort or fuel consumption.
