Default Indicators no longer blinking

G'day all,

Noticed a couple of weeks ago that my turn signal indicators had started to blink a bit slower than normal. At first, it was inconsistent. Like occasionally they would blink at normal speed just fine, then other times a bit slow.

Didn't really think much of it, but since then, it has gotten even slower and slower to now, where it is at the point of blinking once, then just staying lit rather than flashing/blinking when indicating to turn. I tested the hazard lights, and they still blink at the normal speed, indicating doesn't blink at all though.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is here, and what to do to fix it, or how much it may cost to fix at an auto electrician? It's more annoying than anything, and I'm not 100% sure what the boys in blue might think if they were to pull up behind me turning right at a set of lights.

Any help much appreciated. Cheers in advance,
Chris

It'll be the indicator relay mate. It's just under the cover, above your right knee when sitting in the driver's seat. Any auto shop should carry a replacement.

irdonn is correct. take it out and smack it on the ground a few times - that usually fixes em up for a bit
