Default The ford haters - aka Holdens

Everywhere i go when Holden fans/owners pay me out when they find out i like ford falcons and when they know i have a ford i never hear anything positive from them.

Just today the owners of a tyre center said 'Found on a Rubish Dump', i did the usual retort about how i actually like holdens too etc. etc. but to no avail.

My question is what is it about Holden's that make them hate us so much?

I am so sick of the Holden vs. Ford V8 Supercar,Taxi and Police car debate and which one is better.

When i owned a crappy old toyota nobody hated it.

It seems there is this stigma about Ford Falcons (the ignorant view that they are unreliable Taxi's who always get 2nd to Holden)

It seems only Ford people like the AU and their usually AU owners themselves.

Besides most Holdens i see are wrecks driven by Bogans

Sorry about all the Smilies

I'm pretty sure every second thread on this forum discusses one or another of your questions or statements.
Bigoted people will be bigoted, it doesn't matter what they drive.
And your toyota obviously wasn't a 4WD, if you think holden/ford is bad, you should hear the utter bogan trash talked about toyota/nissan 4wds.

Simple, Jealousy that our cars are ultimately better than theirs!
But I do see your point. If there is a Ford or Holden debate to be had, The holden lovers will almost always start it!
Personally I never buy into it. Usually just look them in the eye and reply "yeah really, fair enough then!" usually annoys them more but pours cold water on their rant.

Yeah my old Toyota was a 83 GL Cressida which was always broken.

When i finally get a good condition car i am getting more negative comments.

It seems Mid North Coast is Toyota/Holden Central

I am just sick of supposed adults starting fights about which brand of car is better like little kids with their matchbox toys *cough* holdens bogans/fanatics *Cough*

I never start a fight with a Holden owner, they always do.

It just makes it all the sweeter when you smoke/beat/have success against them IMO.

I know but when a supposedly professional business flat out calls my car/all ford crap (in a friendly way mind you, but still) it starts to annoy me.

End of the day, who cares what someone else thinks, you know the truth - smile, nod and walk away...

Will you be buying tyres from the tyre centre...?

To be honest, after owning both Ford and Holden cars I think I'd prefer a Jap car at this point.

In short sheep always follow each other so Holden fans will always do so, a lot of people have tried a lot of ways to 'communicate' with the other side but it rarely works, hell we get enough arguments amongst Ford owners let along fighting with the other side.
