They have a cool parking system in Korea, however it's above ground. Think of a sort of elongated ferris wheel... drive in down the bottom into a steel cradle, then around the mechanism goes. It takes up the footprint of about 6-8 cars, but can hold many dozens.

This one is all enclosed and very tall (around 15 storeys), I did have another pic floating around of a smaller one where you could see the mechanism but I cannot seem to find it.

LOL, maybe where you live, down south where it's 4 million + urbanites, parking in the CBD is a nightmare and very expensive...sometimes parking illegally in a "Loading Zone" and copping a fine is cheaper then using a high rise car park...

I don't understand why people even try to traverse Melbourne in their own cars, if I need to go into that massive crap hole, I jump on the train, tram or bus and leg it where I need to.
