Guys, the courtesy lights have dirty and iffy contacts most of the time just like the electric window switches, although sometimes the nylon rocker melts and flattens out which reduces the pressure on the contact points causing the contacts to not connect properly. Just pull them apart and clean up the contacts and you should be right but if the rocker is melted you'll need a replacement light unless you can figure out a way to build the nylon dimple back up. If you do, let me know cos I have a spare light here that has a melted rocker.

Good advice. I had the exact same issue, a good clean and reassemble got them working 100% again

Mine melted so I pulled them apart and cut and filed a metal pin to replace and have worked perfectly since.
