Default I Just had to share this

Guys/Girls,

i know the RICE thread is closed, i dont know if im crossing the line here in any way by posting more Jap fed Mechanical Ingenuity or "ART", in this case CRAP.

This particular subject was found in the car park across the road from my office, so i grabbed the camera and went down stars for a closer look.

The piece was magnificently manufactured from craftwood and fibreglass.

The centrepice was missing but i could see where it was attached.
The precisely drilled holes showed evidence of where the spoiler was ripped off its side mounts due to the immense down pressure placed upon it and the timber splinters indicating the violent nature of how this spoiler found its demise. The driver must have been struggling with this beast to keep the rear of this car stuck to the ground due to the lack or rear downforce.

I must commend him

I'd be more worried about how the aerodynamics were effected with both the spoiler and a trailer behind... must have been ok with those fluted wheel covers that add more cooling to the brakes... :P

Let's hope he has to brake suddenly (with whatever awesome brakes he has stealthily hidden) and that racquet knocks some sense into him.

But that provides hours of entertainment for us locals, ever seen a crappy stock 80's one with neons everywhere and shopping list on the door try to race an FG F6?
His NOS sticker lied to us....

Do you see - this is a work in progress. Scallop out the ends of the "wings", paint the rest of the car black, add a jet engine on the back and there you have it - a DYI batmobile.

Very funny. Reminds me of an early 90's Daihatsu Charade I saw parked in a suburban street in Sydney a year or so ago. The owner had decided his exhaust system was not up to scrtach so he rivetted a little plate with two little exhaust tips on it to the passenger rear doors just in front of the rear wheels. Come to think of it the "exhaust tips" looked like he'd cut the ends off a vacuum cleaner pipe and stuck it to the plate. The only thing that came to mind was WHY??

Actually in the same street there was also a Toyota Soarer I think, that had a Transformers autobot sticker on his fuel cap door. WHY?? I don't understand, does he think his car is a robot machine??

I guess I shouldn't be too critical I drove around with a no fear sticker on my vb commodore in the mid 90's. Very try hard!!
