Default Geelong All Ford Day Wash Up

Well it was a great day with what I think was the best selection of AFF cars we have ever had. Congrats to Pearly on winning the V8 supercar drivers choice award, Jimmy (I think that was his name lol) with his gorgeous 65 'Stang that claimed runner up in the 65-68 Mustang class and the FPV & XR owners club on claiming best club award. I also believe (if the cheering was anything to go by ) that one of the ORSM boys claimed the best B series GT gong and one of the T3 boys won best Tickford/FPV.

Also a big thank you to SpoolMan for organizing it all and to Stef (XRQTR) for setting up our layout.

AFF Pics

Man these brakes are HUGE, I swear this Focus must now be 3" shorter than when it left the factory.

And some random pics

Now this bloke had a mission, that mission was to get his pic taken with as many members of the fairer sex as possible. He only managed one and even that was done purely out of pity

Sorry Glenn!

Good shots Russ, it looked like a great day.

It really hit home for me when I spoke to STROPP yesterday and he was on the GOR cruise with the T-series lads!

Maybe next year for me.

BTW, what is that yellow thing with the IR setup?

I'm pretty sure it was white I think it's the cam giving it almost like a sepia tone, Both Xa's were quite nice actually, both Lanes were pretty f'n nice as well as the Muzzie.

It's just a shame that not everyone turned up as we ended up with a great big hole in the middle waiting for them.

Next year things will be different, I'll put together a plan B, I didn't because I figured if people have pre payed then it's pretty much a given that they'll be their, worng, oh well live and learn.

But ye it was a great turn out with some really nice cars, had a great day, met some nice new people and found that alot of the "high end" cars aint so "high end".

Hey ye and a really big WELCOME to Russell from the US, he came along with me for judging duties and I hope he had a good time, and yes I tried to teach him as much as I can about Aussie cars and classics. For a Yank he's actually one of the good ones, so welcome to Oz Russ.

Yep, Polar White.

Had a great day other than the brakes failing completely on the way in after an 'incident' with the car being driven nearly 10 kays with the handbrake on...

Good to meet some of you,

I also got one of DAZZXA when I rocked up, damn work ended at 2:30, so I missed most of the fun :(

One of the most gorgeous examples I saw there. The white P5 was also one of my big faves, as well as the 69 Mach 1 'stang

I was snap-happy regardless of my poor timing, very pleased with what was on show. However, there were a few people smoking some strong weed: a plain (but clean) XW for $20,400 (ONO) and an XA GS Ute for $40,000?! Pricing was way out for the last one...

Thanks guys, I originally didn't enter the car for judging, but I got talked into it by a few people. Ended up walking away with the Drivers Choice award, which was pretty cool. Great day. Thanks to Mark for organizing it all, and Stef for arranging the layout. Lots of great cars.

I have over 200 pics, so instead of chewing up everyones bandwidth, I'll only post the forums display pics here... the rest are here: http://www.pearlysgarage.com/photos/...g2_itemId=4343
