Hey guys and gals, I've got a AU classic and I've noticed something of late; whenever I go over bumps the gear shifter wobbles, a lot. Does this happen to anyone else?
And a side question, does anyone else notice that they really feel the bumps on the road if the tyres are even just slightly down on air? |

auto or manual?
manual, it has a central bush at the lower end of the gearstick, which wears out. alternative might als be worn engine/transmission mounts which may move the whole assembly. auto, once again has bushes, which commonly wear out. both relatively easy to swap/fix

It's an auto.
It's a bit late so I'll have a look tomorrow, any tips on how to get it apart? |

They all do it, its only ever a problem if its moving that much it slip out of gear. Mine has slipped out of gear a few time though, and that was years ago, and hasnt happened since.
They all move around, so dont stress, its normal.

Remove the consol for a start then you'll see where the bushes sit either side of the shifter where it pivots on the axle pin. It's not hard to work out from there.
