Default V8 g/box shifter

Does anybody know if there is a difference between the gearbox shifter on an AU1 XR8 and an EB XR8. I know they are both T5's but I was told the ser1 AU's had a short shifter fitted as standard.

Yes, Series 1 XR8 and XR6 VCT both came with a factory short shifter. The attachment plate of the shifter has a gold anodised finish instead of the normal silver finish of the standard T5 shifter.

Thanks for the info.Have got a Mick Webb SVO shifter I was going to put into the Ser1 AU but since it has already got a short shifter fitted I might put it in the EB instead.
