Should be pretty easy to test... I THINK manifold air temp is available via the OBD port....
However, I wouldnt expect much of a difference.. |

The spacers have been around for ages for the 5.0 engines, and even older engines would apparently benifit from a spacer in between the intake manifold flange and the carby.
No reason why it shoudn't work on a 4.0, but the gains would be minimal at best.

It also has the effect of making both runners longer.
What this means is the bottom end should pick up some gains, but the top end will drop off. This was raised in the B-sereis section not long ago. Don't know how it went though. Cheers

Had a look on fordmods, seem to be a bit on this topic, heat soak etc
And as mentioned, it will pull on the throttle body cable- being spaced out 12mm |
