Default transmission problems

Hi i have a 98 fairmont AU 1 and in the last few days it seems to run fine for the first 15 20 min then seems to stick in 3rd, on the freeway it will run fine but when taking off from the lights it feels like im driving in 3rd very slow revs dont go way up its just slow untill it works its way up. does anyone have any ideas??

Its in Limp Home Mode Brother , Take it to an Auto Trans Specialist and get it looked over ..

ok thanks i googled limp home mode and your probably right thanks cause i was thinking it was a fluid heating up issue and was gona drain and refill tommorow so u saved me a few bucks
