Default I got this in the mail yesterday

Not thay some of you will care, but I made the first major purchase for the AU last week. I view this as step 1 of a list of suspension changes for the beast.

If your wondering, They are RDA slotted rotors front and rear as well as matching street pads.

All up including delivery to my door, I paid $338.

Thanks goes to FLOORED of Sydney Race Brakes for setting up the group buy.

sand the pad, chamfer its edges, spray some of that canned brake squeal stuff on the back of the pads, give the discs a thorough cleaning with brake cleaner. And let them bed in properly.

ah thanks for the tip bloggs24.

That was my next question. Where is the link to the topic of brake bedding in procedures? Can someone advise?

I just want to do this right the first time and not have any major complications.

well I havent taken ALL the discs out of the box and havent stumbled across the bedding in procedure other than the note saying that I need to make sure I dont do any hard braking for 300+km.

Did I read it wrong? Maybe I need to spend more time looking over it.

I got a set of RDA pads on my EB and the not very good. I can't keep the wheels clean for a couple of days from the brake dust. I hope there better than mine.

I can live with dust if the pads stop on a dime.

I have some stuff I will be adding to my wheels to resist brake dust more effectively.

How do they stop? Are they good?

waggaclint, MADED - Check this out

From 'Car Torque' in SA ph. (08) 8362 7667. Ask for ANDY

BOGE rear shock per pair - $140 inc GST (part no. BO28-A80-A)NON IRS
BOGE front short shocks per pair - $220 incl GST (part no. BO28-A85-A)
Whiteline 27mm Front sway Bar - $153 inc GST (part no. WBFF21)
SuperPro Caster/Camber Kit - $100 inc GST (part no. SPF1600SLK)

Now Ive just got off the phone with Andy from Car Torque. I changed my mind with ordering the Kings Springs. Im looking for ride quality rather than the fully sick look. So I have ordered 4 Eibach springs with a lowered height of 35mm which equivalent to a Kings low NOT a superlow. That suit me fine, as I take passengers in my car often. He has to specially order them and they wont arrive till early next week.

Andy mentioned the Eibach springs are a 'cold' coil rather a 'hot' coil that Kings make. Apparently a 'cold' coil gives a far superior ride quality to a 'hot' coil. Not sure what he means there. Perhaps a guru here can explain.

Nath - No problems mate. My car wont be done for another week or so, so you wont be able to see anything just yet. haha.
