Yes bad news RIP

She fought hard and her and Glenn set up the breast cancer awareness foundation. Family must be devastated, it must of been a very aggressive form as she had a few bouts of it

I first read this a bit after 2pm...while watching Footy Flashbacks, kept having a scrolling marquee at the bottom talking about cancer, but I missed the start of it 3 times in a row, so I got onto the Herald Sun website and had a look.

A real loss.

Although Shane and Simone were the glamour couple, I saw Glenn and Jane as a genuine good pair who loved each other and provided great support for each other.

Her interview on Andrew Denton's Enough Rope was very good, funny, and showed a person who knew she had cancer (she was still suffering at that stage), but her glow and bubbly nature betrayed everybody's suspiscions

A person genuinely good person who despite her illness, campaigned hard for finding a cure for cancer, supporting women suffering from cancer, and also fought for her life until the end.

Condolences to the family, and may Glenn be a tower of strength for his two children.

Well said... I watched that Denton episode also... And my thoughts at the time was the incredible strength of character that this insipid disease can give you whilst at that same it's literally eating you away..
A caring, strong, genuine lovable lady at rest.. R.I.P. Jane

I sad loss. Thoughts to the Mc Grath Family.

Interesting article on the WIP Mustang. Note the Ford US has donated $90 million in cash & kind and managed to keep that a secret. Perhaps FoMOCo here could do something similar. A pink XR5, 6 & 8, would be good PR

Interesting.

Although I wouldn't go as far as to make the entire car pink, but to do a limited run of XR4/5T/6/6T/8 with the decals and a percentage of the car purchase price donated to the McGrath Foundation would be a great move on Ford Australias behalf.

even if the intentions were pure, there would be those out there that would see it as ford trying to cash in on someone else's misfortune.

i think its very unfortunate for the australian cricket team that they are away on tour at the moment as a lot of those guys - ponting, hayden, lee, hussey etc would be very dissappointed at not being able to be there for glenn and family.

.
Absolutely correct. It would have to be handled with extreme care. And not done properly it would be a disaster.

However the interesting bit to me, was that they have been donating to this cause for years and keeping it low profile in this country.

Cue the ford marketing dept. jokes again. :

As a gesture, Ford should auction a pink car off, and donate the proceeds to the McGrath Foundation as a gesture of support, as well as example.

Since the Ford Ranger was a major advertising focus during the cricket season, a pink Ranger would be a possibility...

But Ford should not look to financially benefit from it...
