How hard is it to bolt one in? Not too hard.

How hard is it to make it work? Very.

Welcome aboard anyway mate.

It's hard because the ECU is mated to the engine, transmission and losta' other stuff in the car.
The whole exercise would cost you a motza!

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

there are however plenty of ea-au engines being turbo'd lately, some of which make some fairly decent grunt too.

is already in there you just need to

Open bonnet

pick up hair dryer chuck it under

close bonnet

the harders part is plumbing the bugger in wit han intercooler etc and then tuning to suit, as far as the mounts and bell housing go your not changing them

i would just turbo it, my mate here on the gold coast has an eb that he turboed and is now pushing out nearly 400hp at the rears..... here is a pic.

picture of the plumbing etc he also has gone a crow cam, bigger injectors, microtech computer, twin fuel pump, locker diff, 345 gearing 10psi at the moment is going for more, set of forged pistons has been bored out not sure how much and probly a few more things but cant think of it at the moment not sure of the turbo it is hi- flow though ummm yeah has done a 13.1 and that was spinning half track lol.

the problems are many first the engine sits higher so you won't close the bonnet without moding it. then there is getting the computer to work with the rest of the car. this is the first falcon to use can bus so the ECU won't talk to your old systems in your car so it's not just "plice the harness and ECU in" it is an major job and AFAIK no one has got it right yet. there may be some hope with after market ECUs but it must be ablet to contols the twin VCT and the cams are controled independantly so you will need 2 cam control chanels . so as you can see big $$$$$$$ probably not impossible though. on the plus side the BA still uses a btr tranny so these mountings will be the same. good luck
