Default Where to buy 1 rocker arm???

Hi guys,

My GFs car broke a rocker when I tried to clutch start it (Daewoo Lanos 1999).

Now, the problem is only 1 rocker arm.

I am just wondering if Daewoo spare parts, or wreckers would sell 1 rocker arm, and the valve spring seat to go with it?

Plus, is there like a pick n pay in Brisbane area?

Cheers.

Ring them(Daewoo) , or your local wrecker . Have you established why the arm broke ?

Not quite sure to be honest. Maybe the sudden jolt of clutch starting it? Its done quite a few Ks and the components definately look like they were made in Korea.

Have taken the head off and everything as I thought the timing belt slipped and since its an interference engine I thought the Valves would be in pieces. They are all fine. Along with the timing belt

There is pick a part at Boondal on Zillmere rd, I am unsure if they do daewoo wrecking though. what size is the engine? if it is the same as the 2 litre Espero engine try and find an old camira head, it could be cheaper still.

Well you can't ring Daewoo as they don't exist here anymore, Holden do still stock all their spares though IIRC. Best bet would be a wrecker though.

Westpoint Auto still sell new Daewoo stuff, but I can't say if they'd have anything as specific as a rocker lever. Their parts division is at Darra Qld, and they are one of those multi car dealership franchises.

Try a wreckers, they may have one with a banged engine that you could raid bits off as they only go to scrap anyway.
