Default Power Loss

Having some problems with the Fez over the past few days. Wondering if anyone has experienced the same?
Engine seems to lack power, brake pedal needs more pressure than normal.
Stalled at a roundabout yesterday (it's an auto). The wife says the engine made an 'awful racket' (her description) when she started it yesterday morning. When I tried to start it, kicked over a few times, then nothing. Started normally next attempt.
I'm leaning towards an electrical problem , or even maybe dirty fuel, but I'm only guessing.
Looks like a trip to Ford service in the next few days.

I'm sorry to hear that, man. I've never had that problem. My Fiesta felt crap when I filled it up with 95RON PULP from BP...I'll never go below 98RON again thats for sure.

Maybe it WAS the fuel. Bad batch or something. R u still using BP Ultimate?

Ives, I have been using Vortex98 lately, but the wife filled it with Vortex95 last thursday. Seemed to be running fine for about the first 100k's or so.

Hey, that noisy racket has been a problem for me from the beginning but after reflashing the ECU like 3 times its gone away from my car now.
I've stalled the car once (its an auto so wat the hell) when i was reversing out from the driveway, then fulll lock, then D to get back on the left side of the road (do you know what i mean?) then engine stopped. I was thinking it was maybe the power steering and ford told me to not apply full lock so early after the car has started. Well i do this all the time now and nothing has happened. My car is fine at the moment after the ECU reflashes, maybe i suggest you do the same.

Ford EU have released a new Cal for B-Car....ask your dealer to flash LG Level Cal and you'll notice a huge improvement in cold start conditions.

Our Fiesta was used as the trial car for Oz as we'd complained on many occasions of 'stall' (even tho' it's an Auto) and idle hunting.

All is good now!

Interesting comments. My power steering motor is noisy doing full locks when cold. ECU was reflashed at the 'peace of mind inpection'. Maybe it's time for another one now that it's got a few k's on it. Funny how a software upgrage fixes everything, whatever happened to spanners and screwdrivers? lol. I still think my last tank of gas could heave been sus. Filled up today with 98RON and she seems to be back to her old self. Funny thing too, miles to empty display showed 330km with the last full tank of sus petrol. When I filled up today it showed 485 km. Thats a big difference.

It really sounds like you had a bad batch of fuel. I think that's the problem.

Symptoms point towards bad fuel...this happened to my Cougar a couple of weeks ago. She wasn't performing like normal, and she stalled (auto too). Glad to hear the fez is ok now. These fuel companies need a kick somewhere....
