Smile Clear repeaters for eb2

Hi guys i was trying to find clear reapeaters for my eb2 the other day only to find out that they apparently dont exist. I have seen people in the club with them and was wondering which repeaters they were using and if they need to be modified to fit. If someone can reply time is of the essence as i am fitting the clear indicators tonight and dont want the car to look odd. Thanks Adrian

Do you have a set of clear indicators already or are you looking into purchasing a set today & fitting tonight? Clear AU repeaters are most commonly used (BEWARE some AU repeaters are amber, specify you want CLEAR).

Generally, slip your hand inside the guard (e-series inner guards are generally busted so you can simply get your hand in there) and pop the existing repeater out. It has clips that hold it in from the inside.

Remove bulb/plug from existing repeater, fit to new repeater. The plughole for the new repeater (whatever type you get) might need trimming up or your plug itself might need trimming up to fit the new plughole. Stanley/razor blades are handy but watch your fingertips.

Simply pop the new repeaters in place as they should have clips also which secure them to the inside of the guard. If the clips are too widely set or too narrow to clip to the existing hole, a dab of superglue will hold the repeaters in place ;) I did this with WK Stato repeaters & it's come up a treat. I'll be spewing if the globes ever blow...

Someone here made a tech doco on this (do a search for "clear side repeaters") and there should be a tech doco on www.fordmods.com also.

You can buy AU3 clear repeaters from Ford for under $40 I think it is, I found mine at the wreckers so it was a lot cheaper.
Heres a link to a quick tutorial I made up,
