Question Map sensors...

hey all...

decided to nip down to pick a part today to get couple things....

picked up a map sensor and changed it for the hell of it.... runs a hell of a lot better...

the only thing is, they have different part numbers! anyone care to shed some light?

old sensor : E7DF9F479A1A
new sensor : E7DF9F479A2A

um... well thats about it? im thinking it could mean revision.2 or something?

i've cleaned my ISC before but thought id change it for the helluv it to, that combined with re-programming my base idle has it idling very very nice.

have a spare TPS now too..

help with the MAP sensor greatly appreciated!

cheers,

santo

CFI - Centrepoint Fuel Injection, basically two injectors directly into a throttle body

MPFI - Multi-Point Fuel Injection - Fuel rail with a fuel injector to each cylinder

MAP sensor - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor - Basically assists in working out Air/Fuel ratio's from a vacuum feed...
