Ok thanks papa smurf.
I will take it back.
I went looking because if it was just a fuse, i could have taken it out....and Not disconected the battery to get the brake lights to turn off.
But do i take it back to the dealer or the panel shop?

ok I know its late but my 2c is an earth strap missing or bad earth and feeding back into other circuits

no idea mate...
the possabilites so far stand at;
1) heat from sand blasting has broken down wiring somewhere.
2) dust and debris from sand blasting has caused a short or abraided wiring
3) reinsallation of tub/rear bar has been carried out poorly comprimising wiring somewhere.

So if the earth fits in there somewhere maybe....i'll let you know as soon as the "pro's" work it out.

Take it back to the Dealer first, it is better to let them know that something is wrong. It is THEY who directed the car there and so, it is their responsibility.

It wasn't ford...my dealer has been quite curtious since they serviced my automatic transmission.
It was the panel shop, no big damage in the end, just one of those things that happens from time to time, both the shop and ford were very good. I have no complaints about either. I'm actaully a happy customer for once, all of my questions were answered and people went out of their way to help me, you can't winge when people have done that.
