Finally bit the bullet and traded up from my old EA to an El wagon. Car was going brilliant till I got about 300klm's out of Sydney when the auto transmission decided to back change into 2nd gear at around 100klm's per hour. (Not good) It even tried to get into 1st gear a couple of times (lucky I'd slowed right down) Any body had this problem/ got any advice? The car is booked in this week for a trans service but I'm expecting bad news. I've heard the El auto had a prob with the trans. oil getting into the radiator water as well (water is discolored)
Assuming the worst, any advice on the best place to get a good low klm exchange box? Cheers |
