Default coolant temp sensor on ea

hey guys, im installing an aftermarket temp guage, one that actually shows numbers, and i was wondering where the temp sensor is. i checked the thermostat housing and there are 2 connections there. one is a big fat connection with 2 wires attached. and there is another smal connection, with one wire. any help much apreciated, even pics would be great.

the small 1 with the single lug on it is the temp sensor for the cluster

i bought it new, from k-mart, cheap i know but i would rather 1 with actual temp numbers than just a dial which tells me nothing. it had a few adapters to fit the new sensor but it dont fit anywhere!! thats why i was wondering which wire is the sensor. well i know it now thanks brent79, so ill give it a go
