But the first Ford Australia badged GT came out in 1963 on the flanks of a Cortina, not 1967 as the number plate says.

True, but personally I think the reissue plates that people have already got are a better option for reasons as follows:

The commemorative plates come in full size only, so the front one hangs over the edge of the front bumper, whereas the slimline size, which the GTF-xxx reissue plates can come in, are a better fit. Reissue plates (GTF-xxx) can come in slimline size for the front and standard size for the rear, and are cheaper as well. Perhaps the rear plate only could have the footer slogan, but I dont think you would be able to get just one of those.
