Lol, not hard to see the basic bias in that test when the cost of LPG is cheaper than petrol, do the test again on a L per L basis and see the results

...the point they are trying to make is that it's cheaper to run, not that it uses less fuel.

What's the premium you have to pay to get an LPG falcon over a petty one though?

Not sure but it's still a far safer car, tows boats n trailers, fits 5 large people easy and more importantly it's roomy and comfortable. Oh and CHEAP to run.....that our ford falcon baby

Only issue there is 2 of them can be sorted with a Jerry Can, and the falcon needs a tow truck. (had an AU ute dedicated LPG....was within sight of the servo)

I think at one point the difference was less than $1000 after govt rebate.

but if you're not in sight of a servo then you need to factor in return taxi fare so not always that big a difference

Ford said if I walked away with the xr6 ute they hard in their lot, which had 27km and an ecolpi engine I would of had it for 26k. Petrol engines were going for the same amount. I didn't go for it as it had a tub and not an aluminum tray.

With a range of around 650kms it shouldn't be a problem.
the old AU ute wouldn't have had that range
