Default question for the model car collectors?

does anyone know if any of the 1:18 manufacturers plan on releasing a FG GT335, simular to the BA/BF GTP series of 2004-2007 (non race versions)?

Nope... I doubt we will see anymore road cars, they have been failures in the past simply because they have to produce so many cars to recover their costs, they end up getting stuck with them. Atleast with V8 supercars they all use the same mould.... Just different liveries.

Sucks but I just dont think its financially viable.

And there is another catch. If you buy a model of your car you probably want it in the same colour which makes it even more difficult.

I was lucky with my F6 but all the others have been "wrong".

That is a bugger. I would love to add some FG models to my collection.

i'm in the middle of converting a BF Pursuit into 'my' BF XR8. repaint and also a reworking of the bodykit.

Also i heard Biante lost a lot of their molds due to a fire in their chinese factory, so a lot of money has to be invested in repairing/recreating those molds. (so less money to do other things).

No what happened was the Chinese manufacturer went broke and had to be liquidated. The moulds which were owned by Biante went missing (potentially sitting in some other Chinese factory just waiting for the right time).

The BF Cobra Pursuits were affected by this, thats why only 50 or so cars made it to Australia.

Road cars have never been that successful, the only successful ones were the BAMKII / BFII Cobra cars due to their limited availability. The BFII Cobra / 40th cars have been affected due to poor quality resin models, most collectors wont buy resins.

How about "ordinary" Falcon models? Things like XR6's and G6E's and the like in various colours?
Then those of us with "normal" Falcons can buy a model just like the one we own instead of having to buy only GT's and racing car replicas.

they should offer the blank kit.. so you start with a standard FG.. then it comes with XR wing, GT wing, V8SC wing , different front bumpers etc..
different wheels etc..
then you can build any model and paint accordingly.

offered as a Diecast Kit
it then appeals to ALL owners of all models!
