The article in the Courier Mail, today has rego going up 80c's but the online edition has it going up $2 ???? I am ringing my MP monday to find out. I agree.Campbell said "rego would be frozen for private cars. but not motorcycles or commercial vehicles."

Don't you people up there already pay high prices for rego?

They should have a national system IMO, including road rules, P plate regulations, rego system etc.

I do agree with you a rise is a rise but 80c i can live with compared to the rate other things rise. Never understood why utes are more...

My car being a 5 cylinder and QLD having an engine cylinder pricing setup 4/6/8 and so on ill bet you can guess whether its classed as a 4 or 6 cylinder.... about $880 for my car

I do agree re national system.

If people dont complain, they will keep putting it up and up til one day you wake up and are paying $2000 to rego a standard Falcon.

Agree on national system!

Qld rego prices include compulsory third party insurance....

IIRC,Victoria separates those two costs making rego charges look much cheaper.

Im dreading what Utes end up having to pay if they are "freezing" the price on private cars.

EDIT: It appears to be freezing on utes as well.

Well... perhaps they will follow the NSW idea nof rewarding licence renewals with half price fees if you have a clean driving record as a trade off???...

Or was I dreaming when I heard it I wonder??? I shouldn't fall asleep with the radio on lol...

I thought the increase was due to 3rd party insurance - not Registation therefore the Gov't kept their promise. I'm not aligned to any political party - issue is always in the fine print (I heard this a couple of months ago and thought the increase was going to be more then that). Let me put on my surpised face when I open my August Registration Renewal
