Default Remote FOB

Hi all
I just picked up a MC Titanium hatch ex demo for my wife. The car came with 1 FOB only and no key blade.
Can anyone tell me where to get a spare as well as the blade at a reasonable cost?

Zak

Presumably purchased from a dealer?
I'd take it back and ask for 2 complete keys as part of sale - OEM vehicle content pls.
And does it have the books, especially the little metal tag with the key coding number you will need to get replacement keys at some time in the distant future.
If it came without a jack or a spare tyre (empty wheel well), I'm sure you wouldn't need to ask this question, you'd be hot-footing it back to the dealer.

Don't be put off by 'such a small thing' - they are expensive !! (i.e $100's)

I'd definitely approach the dealer and see what they have to say.

Mine was ex demo, came with two full flip keys. By full, I mean the remote "fob" plus the blade that flicks out.

Being a demo you would assume the dealer has the other key somewhere hopefully they just forgot give it to you. Does the remote you were given have the key blade inside it or is that missing too?

There you go, saved yourself that "reasonable cost" you mentioned in your first post.

By the way, I'm jealous its Titanium. Would have loved to go all the way but just couldn't stretch the budget past Zetec :( Got pics?

Now... you have your 'complete' car as ex-factory.
Kudos to the dealer for responding in a proper fashion.

Did you also get the small metal tag that comes with keys showing the key security code?

And Titanium spec should be pretty nice to live with !!!

We got the metal tags and also adhesive labels with the codes.
Titanium is nice, the Mrs is happy. She and 2 of her friends went away for the weekend to the Central Coast (we live near Maroubra). Central Coast and back on a quarter of a tank of diesel.

The car is a 08/11 with 11K on the clock for $33,500 drive away with 12 months rego which I thought was resonable.
