Default What E series suspension will fit an AU 1?

I see sellers on ebay list thier rear shocks and springs to fit EA to AU 1 non irs, what about the front springs are they the same?

samething applies to exhaust systems being sold on ebay, to fit ea to au 1 non irs. Will any of these parts fit an AU1?

exhaust and rear springs will suit sedans, but not fronts

Rear shocks and springs for E-Series through AUIII are interchangeable. That is not to say that the result of swapping them will be what you might want. Spring rates and shock rates will vary between model and series. However aftermarket items will generally be "one size fits all" in approach.

I thought that the IRS models (series II and III) were a different set up to the non IRS modesl (series I), and therefore springs were not interchangable between the models. Ebay sell springs for AU non IRS and AU IRS...

not all au 2 and 3 had irs. this is about non irs suspension because ea-el never had it and if you poke you head under any live axle falcon from 82 to 02 they basically look the same thats why some of the parts are interchangeable.

You thought right - but has nothing to do with the topic of the thread.

However, your inference that Series I were all non-IRS and Series II and II were all IRS is incorrect.

Live-axle rear shocks are actually interchangeable from XE-AU

They will physically fit BUT they are very different in valving - you would be very illadvised to fit X-series shocks onto E-Series or later. Unless you opted for the XE ESP shocks. Likewise, E-Series are not as robust as AU. However you could safely fit the AU gas shocks to earlier models and not have any issues.
