Default Filter location for EFI pump on XB

I need to fit a fuel filter for my XB. I have fitted a AU XR8 and I am not sure where to put the fuel filter. I have a external electric pump below the rear seat. Should it be before or after the pump? I have picked up a plastic filter from Super cheap, I suppose it will be Ok? Cheers Steve

When I put the 5.0 EFI in my Maverick I put a filter between the tank and the low pressure pump. Then one between the surge tank and the high pressure pump. These are just the basic garden variety plastic 3/8 line filters.
Then I put the high pressure efi filter (the tin can type) in the engine bay just before the injector rail.
Cant have enough filters. Pumps and injectors are too dear to take the risk!

Is this the tin can type available from Super Cheap. I do have one but was unsure if it was different than the plastic type.
