Yes it will run it but to optimise it you will need to tune it.

The engine size upgrade wont affect it, its the cam depending on how big you go that the ECU will struggle to handle.

I drove mine unedited with the cam in it for 400km to Melbourne to be tuned and it was fine apart from being a pig on fuel

It will run it OK with an edit (flash tuner). Just remember the standard 220 settings may be very lean with the stroker motor so no full throttle load until you can get it to a tuner and have the edit box tuned. Drive it the absolute minimum distance possible until you can get it tuned.

It will be very lean and idle like a cow, mine was near on undriveable with the factory settings.

Everyone gives a different report on what will and wont run.

STROPP still has an AU XR8 pcm, (with the XR8 file) in his T3 TE50 after it crapped itself on the nullabor. It runs as strong as any of them and has given no sign of having issue.

Peeler has a centrifugal blower on his P250 with the standard T3 pcm file, and has run like that for longer than I have known him.

So it really does seem almost like pot luck, as I know what a heavily cammed 5.0L will run like unedited, but that is mostly base idle speed that makes it a pig.

The biggest thing is that the Maf and the injectors are matched to each other, and that the injectors are matched to the factory pcm tune.

I agree mate, and it all depends on the specs of the motor to be built.

With an XR8 maf no way will it run lean, different if you run a 90mm ford racing maf...

Have the flash tune it especially if ur going to run a bigger cam. Plus is dosent cost much to do a flash tune epecially if your gona build a 347 stroker.
