Last i checked, all states are linked you lose points and get fined as per normal, might take a bit longer to get the fine though.

Was it an on the spot fine or how do you know you got fined.

No! you lose no points off your QLD licence. However if you are caught speeding interstate again remember that you still can't exceed 12 points in that state.
I have been caught interstate and the points don't come off your QLD licence.

Driving on a suspended licence? What is a suspended licence? Is that when you don't have a licence to drive?

Geez XR8 utey - you got stung - I copped a fine that had a 2 pointer attached to it in Nov last year when in Tassie for the V8's, and it hasn't come off my licence......... and on a sidebar, they wrote the ticket out on the same little notebooks they used 30 years ago. The fine was $110 and in Vic, it would have been closer to $300 and 3 points.
