Default EL XR6 question

hey guys, i'm looking at buying a EF/EL Xr6. i've been looking at some online and i've found that some of them have a different type of body kit like a bumper extention or something. did this come standard on some Xr's or is this a body kit that someone put on them selfs?

below are the picures of what i mean any info would be good!

the car on left has the "tickford kit" and the one on the right doesnt.

EF xr's also came with it but the lumps on it are smaller.

Did the tickford kit come standard or is it something that have 2 pu on your self?

It was an optinal factory extra but some places on ebay are selling them

the original tickford bodykits were rubber if im not mistaken, and the aftermarket ones are fibreglass so they tend to explode on impact whereas the rubber ones tend to not

id suggest finding a car with it already fitted as i reckon it looks far better and its not worth the hassle of finding the bodykit and having it sprayed/fitted as that will be quite expensive unless you find one already painted ready to fit in good nick for cheap (veryyyyyyyyyyy slim chance)

It all depends if the original owner ticked the 'bodykit' box when ordering their new XR6.

Bentles im 90% sure the original kits are plastic not rubber though.

its that kind of wierd plastic but, not rubbery like a rubber band but not plasticy like ABS plastic either.

The rear skirt is that rubbery type of material you are thinking of. Everything else is hard plastic. Same plastic as the bumper bar.
