Dont necessarily need water in oil as sign of blown head gasket, presure test your system first and then look further into things like a comp test etc.

Yeah in most cases you loose water out of steam... best bet is to whack a radiator presure tester on it, show you exactly where your loosing your water...

i have the same problem with my car and was just about to post up a thread, lucky i did a search. I thought that i should replace the radiator cap.to see if that is the problem. I will let you know how i go. I also have been told that the heater coil could be leaking inside the cabin, but i am yet to check that out.

I'm the opposite .. I've got the steam everytime I start the car up, but don't loose water??!! The "steam" is that bad that it's leaking past the seal joining the cats to the exhaust system ..

CHECK THAT BOTH YOURE FANS ARE WORKING... if only one is it can cause water loss if the radiatitor cap is average.. chuck ac on flat out and fan speed on 4, both thermo fans should be working

I have been experiencing the water being forced out the overflow on really hot days.
The original ford cap had 120kpa but the replacement says 135 kpa.
I checked on the website and you are correct it lists 135kpa for both I6 and V8.
Not sure if 15kpa is much and whether it will make any difference with the increase in pressure or will it cause problems from over stressed components.

For what it's worth fellas, my Max Ellery workshop manual says 120-135kpa.

At 125kpa therefore, you are within spec.

alot of the time the o-ring on the pipe which goes into the back of the water pump leaks, noticible by white dried dots/marks on your manifold cover or surrounding area
