Default AU steering wheel onto EL

I have noticed a lot of AU parts fit straight onto an EL. Does the steering wheel fit straight on ???

Was looking at these from Bayford spares.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....8294&rd=1&rd=1

Seem to be a good buy as it is the same wheel as my AU2 LTD.

I was thinking of buying one to replace the slightly worn one in my car.
If they fit the e-series I could put my old one into my sons EF2

They don't advertise them as fitting e series... I wonder why not?

Any problems, did the airbag sit neatly?
How did you get the airbag off etc.

g'day peterban, the airbag from the EF/EL fits fine on the AU wheel. Although the two airbags are different, the basic shape is the same and is attached by the same two bolts behind the wheel. Let us know if you need any more details mate

cheers,
Julza

O.K. Danny I thought it must have been some sort of " in " joke,I hadn't looked at the rest of there stuff.
The prices on most things seem pretty good.
Might go down and grab a wheel and a couple of front hubs just to make the trip worthwhile.

Thanks Julza, just wondering if you used the correct torx bit to get the scews out?
I have read that you can modify a srewdriver to get them out!!
