Default Unknown sound, 2.0L TDCi 2008 (LT Body)

Thanks,

I've got a whining sound on the engine, like a plastic bag stuck in turbo/air filter, kind of wagging on sound like a drone, total rev range sound deeper wine but no loss in performance, any idea's?

sound only happens when applying throttle upto about 2k were sound of wine becomes unrecognisable and also sound happens when decreasing in reves until it hit 1,000 or below

Taking to mechanic ASAP but would like to hear ideas of possible problems, maybe transmission?

After I filled up at the pump employee put out of order on the pump if that means anything

Mine does the exact same thing and has done for years now and none of us have been able to figure it out, same deal up to 2000 RPM then it just stops - mine is an LV but its the same setup under the bonnet.
