Default Badges getting bigger

Bit of a pointless thread, but has anyone noticed that Car badges are getting bigger and bigger? Pretty soon they will just paint the logo on the bonnet!
The Ford ranger's rear badge is a prime example and wouldnt look out of place on an F-250

Holdens taking cost cutting to new levels by making the badge on the boot of the new VE2 smaller.

Till now, Holden have been increasing the badge on each successive model. The VT/VX had a small badge on the bonnet. The VY got a bigger badge in the grille. VZ got a bigger grille with a huge badge to suit, then the VE got a bigger one again! The 2020 VE XII Commodore will just be a badge with wheels attached

It's not cost-cutting. They're making them smaller and smaller, so that we don't notice when owners swap them for Chev badges.

Or maybe it is cost-cutting; why use more material on the badge when it's not valued by the customer.

I know exactly what you are talking about, I tried to put the Ford badge off a Ranger onto my mate's scooter, but he said he didn't want the extra weight.

At least its better than the massive TOYOTA across the tailgate of Hiluxes.
