Default New PB at WSID in the Heat

Hi guys, did a new PB last night at WSID in the 40 degree heat.

ET 13.378
MPH 105.53
60' 2.077

Other passes were 13.5 to 13.6 with even crappier 60'.
Haven't driven for a while so need to get my head around the launch to get more improvement.
Allowing for the heat I was really happy for the night. Bring on winter.
Had a ball racing with Rich (Hot460). Thanks mate.
There was a couple of BA XR8 manual sedans, edited, CAI, exhaust, doing low 14's and a GT, exhaust and CAI doing high 14's.

Bit dissapointing that WSID did not have any readouts for the barometric conditions and there was no 60' timing in the right lane.
It might only be a street meet but we are still paying customers.

Big thanks to Chris from BluePower Racing Developments. You da man.

A 13.3 is a nice result.

However the guy with the GT must have missed 2 gear or something, that is just terrible. For a GT with those mods I would have expected a flat 13.0 pass or very close to it.

The GT only had exhaust and CAI, no edit or chip.
Even in the winter I hardly ever saw a 290 without computer mods crack into the 13's let alone a 13.0 in the heat. I would have thought he would have done a low 14 last night. I think it was his first attempt at the drags, so I would imagine he enjoyed himself whatever the timeslip.

Last time I took my car to WSID my mate came with his BA GT, his car is 100% STOCK and he ran 13.8 all night long, I know another guy who cracked 13.5 in his stock BA GT, both of these cars are manuals.

That is a fantastic time MYV8! The 60fter is great as well.

Shame about the GT doing high 14's. But I can tell you he would be pretty dissapointed with those times no matter how much fun he had.

Great work Chris. Thanks for letting me have a go in your ute, that trans feels bloody awesome! driving mine after feels so slow on the shift.

It was great fun racing you all night. 13.6's and 13.7 at 100mph with 2.09 60's feels slow. Bring on winter and a convertor!
Oh and Heatcote. lol
Thanks mate. :

Gidday Craig, not sure when I will be going again, depends on the weather. If we get a cooler Wednesday before Heathcote I will probably get in some more practice. I had been watching everyone else for so long while my car was sick, that when it was fixed I had to go irrespective of the temp LoL.
Just got the usual bolt-ons, a BluePower airbox, and a magic :Reverend: :Reverend: :Reverend: BluePower/Extreme tune. :Reverend: :Reverend: :Reverend:

Yeh, we'll keep on eye out for a coolish dry Wednesday hey. I'm sure Rich would love to get back there under cooler conditions too, his beast has got a lot more in it.

Very good times to run on a 40deg day i must say. Its a true testament to the Bluepower banner that there are some tough cars coming out of that workshop. Congrats guys.....
Cant wait to go racing again.

PS: what tyres were you running and what exhaust mods u got??

ET Streets. (After the edit the SP3000's just spun in 1st and 2nd.)
I have Intune headers and cats and Herrod cats back.
Chris has put the time in and deserves all the praise he gets. He has the runs on the board.
I have yet to speak to an unhappy BluePower customer.

Now I know what needs to be done, convertor.... Then Chris can work his majic with a Bluepower tune! :Up_to_som
