Im bored so I'd thought I'd ask what everyone has planned for their cars in the near future.
I want to lower my car and fit the rest of my stereo including a shiny boot install for the all ford day on the 20th. This is just a matter of me getting off my **** and doing it :1syellow1 Afterwards I will get my exhuast modified so I have some decent clearance. My cat convertor scrapes on everything now with my stock ride height. : By the heathcote meet in April I want to have fitted an LSD and high stall convertor, a new cam, which I believe I am still getting of Rmyers when he no longer needs it and have the car tuned to 15psi. The fuel system is ready for it now. I will have a switch installed so I can switch between 10 and 15psi at the same time when it is tuned. Currently I only have the one 10psi map on my wolf. I want to run a 12 second pass on 10psi but if I dont I can always switch to 15 psi. If I can get my 60' time down to 2 seconds then I will run a 13.1, the cam should help me get there on 10psi. Shortly after that when my loan is paid off and my engine broken I will replace my engine with something out of an EL for the better head and cam and run with that until it breaks. What about you guys?

Very good plans Dan
Me... get my car back on the road. When it gets back on the road, there should be a fair bit replaced... the Head should have some minor porting work to help out with the cam. timing kit installed, AU head gasket and other minor fixes are the next mods. At the same time i'm still putting some finishing touches on the BA bodykit which is taking too long to finish (i hate the hot weather!)

I've had the ED for a fortnight & have already fitted clear indicators & side repeaters & some EB XR6 15inch alloys. Next week it's going in for a drop in suspension height, and hopefully a tidy up of the paint in the near future (get the hideous pinstripes removed!) After that will be extractors, 2.5inch exhaust, a new cam (Wade possibly), a new (larger) intake pipe (any suggestions on a good upgrade?) and finally an ED XR6 ECU.

Ive pretty much done everything I wanted to do except for 2 things
1. new diff - 3.08 open wheelers dont cut it 2. new interior - something in an xr or fairmont flavour would do nicely Possible future mods not planned yet might be after market engine management and/or some sort of forced induction setup. Have to say though that I am pretty happy with the NA setup I have now. Only problem is that I only ever get temporary enjoyment from performance mods. After a week or so I get used to it and i am bored again.

Lol, had a few ideas but i've come to the realisation that i'll be spending all my money fixing stuff as it lets go. Tends to snowball, put one thing off for a while, something major lets go, thing you've been putting off gets put off some more.
So i guess i'll be happy if i can maintain the status quo - keep it safe and legal. Long term im in two minds. Keep modding it - manual tranny, diff, decent heads/intake, aftermarket ecu, gto bodykit. But then, its 10 years old now and even the stuff ive quickly listed has quite a few 0's on the end of the price tag... but then, i dont find the BA terribly inspiring...

Hmmmm... i've got to prioritise, i'm not sure what i'm doing when :S, but i've got to do the following in the next 3 months at least...
1. decent new shockers all round 2. new set of 245/17" tyres 2. nice dark metallic window tint 3. BBM conversion, EF cam 4. LSD with a decent ratio 5. EF doorhandles 6. new exhaust (2.5 cat-back) that won't scrape down the the freeway like the one i have, and also a new tip (don't have one atm) In the next 12 months i hope to: 1. get the directors' outers re-chromed, and get the centres painted a dark grey 2. EL XR6 motor, ecu and 5-spd 3. removal of towbar and new rear bumper to suit And the long term goal (3 years) is to have that, with a leather interior, wrapped in a candy apple red metallic paintjob. Considering we're getting our own spraybooth and hoist put into the home workshop (just bought new house) sometime this year, it's not as distant as i once thought Oh, and if i crash it, we have the chassis re-alignment jig ready to also put in the new shed... Yippee! Jared

Yep :P Just had the floor of the shed concreted in preparation (cost a shite-load). You can park 4 semi-trailers in it at the moment, plus the workshop. Spraybooth will be in, in 6 months time, hoist will be in around 12 months. The jig we have set-up in another shed already and have to relocate it...
I'm thinking it can be the halfway stop (more like 3/4) point on the Melbourne to Horsham cruise that was suggested a while ago...
