Talking ef rocker cover

will a EF rocker cover bolt straight on the EA head or do you need the EF rocker gear as well ???:Up_to_som ie:would i need to use the EF bolts instead od the EA nuts :evil_laug

cause i have my eye on one,,it's green and my EA is cardinal red,,i think it would look catchy

Nope, the EF cover will bolt straight up. Get the EL bolts for it, I think I paid about $30 from Ford for the 4 of them. Slap a bit of sealant around the half moons, it will leak a bit from there.

you can file the ea head so the ef rocker cover fits correctly

Yeah, but it's not neccessary. Ultra blue does the job fine.
The ef rocker cover bolts, there are 2 kinds, 1 at the front and 3 at the rear, you want 4 of the front ones, unless you are doing a bbm conversion as well. They are just a bolt, whereas the rear ones have a stud that sticks up. Oh, and you'll need an ef rocker cover gasket also... although that is pretty obvious.

rather then getting the EF ones that dont have the stud... then get the EL ones
they're all like the front EF one.

i have the rocker cover,,now what do i do with the spark leads,,can they be rerouted the other way around or shouldi invest in longer leads ?

and do the old studs just unscrew or is there a special way of getting them off ?

well i put it on and didn't like it,,it didn't look right:

so i'm taking it back tomorrow to get my 20 back..
