Angry Problem with the lighting around the centre fascia

Hey guys, whenever i turn the headlights on, the lighting from the a/c and rear demister switches always appear dim...same with the cold side of the temp switch and the switch that controls all the diff parts where the air circulates. When i give it a bit of a hit the lights come back to normal...its driving me nuts! What's the best way to fix it so it doesn't keep happening?

Cheers.

i would be looking for either a loose plug or a bad earth behind where you are hitting to get it working again. If you hitting it brings it back up something is loose.

seeing as your car is a s2 it may be the globes behind that area not working/earthing properly, its not had to take it apart and have a look have a look at this www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=95787 you wont need all of this. unlike a series1 where you can't just replace the bulbs you have to replace a circuit board at a cost of $260 odd.
hope this helps you out
